The Fantasy Collective have some wonderful fantasy gowns in their current run and here are two examples.  Up top you can see the ultimate courtesan gown from Dead Dollz that reminded me of Game of Thrones (and I’ll have an illustrated blog with my thoughts on the role of women in Game of Thrones tomorrow – watch this space!).  Down below is an absolutely wonderful Pixicat dress. You can’t see the overskirt in this pic but you will in the picture I show tomorrow – it’s amazing!  I paired the Dead Dollz dress with wings from Stiched Gods, also at The Fantasy Collective, and they reminded me of the legend of Icarus flying too close to the sun, which in turn reminded me of the gorgeous song about the aviator Amelia Earhart by Joni Mitchell:

“A ghost of aviation
She was swallowed by the sky
Or by the sea, like me she had a dream to fly
Like Icarus ascending
On beautiful foolish arms
Amelia, it was just a false alarm”

Love and Peace, Rachel ✌️
